- What kind of papers are accepted for participation?We accept scientific papers on AI/ML. For more information about the types of papers and materials that will be accepted for review you can refer to the Clause 4.4 of the Submission Guidelines.
- What is the deadline for submission?You can submit your paper until 11:59 pm (Moscow time) 20 August 2024 inclusive.
- Where can I find correctly formatted paper examples?For guidance, please get acquainted with the style guide in the TeX format and the paper template by the link.
- Where will the papers be published?The papers will be published in a special issue of scientific journal of the Russian Academy of Sciences, devoted to artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies. The journal is included in the K1 category of publications submitted for an academic degree according to the Higher Attestation Commission guidelines, and is indexed in RSCI, Scopus, and Web of Science citation databases.
- Can I submit a paper written by multiple authors?Yes, a paper can be submitted by one author, with the consent of all co-authors. For more information please get acquainted with the Clause 2.4 of the Submission Guidelines.
- When and how will the papers be selected?All papers will undergo preliminary selection. Pre-selected papers are sent for review. The decision of publication papers in a special issue of scientific journal and choosing the best one are made by Commission. The commission includes representatives of the Organizer, the Partner and invited experts.
- Timeline:
- by 11:59 p.m. (Moscow time) 20.08.2024 – receiving Applications;
- by 11:59 p.m. (Moscow time) 31.08.2024 – pre-selection the articles;
- by 11:59 p.m. (Moscow time) 30.09.2024 – reviewing papers;
- by 11:59 p.m. (Moscow time) 31.10.2024 – forming a list of papersfor publication;
- by 11:59 p.m. (Moscow time) 10.11.2024 – notification the participantsof the Call for Papers outcomes;
- by 11:59 p.m. (Moscow time) 31.12.2024 – determination and notification the Winner.
- What is the prize for the winning paper?The Winner will receive a cash prize of one million rubles (RUB 1,000,000) (amount before individual income tax). If the winning paper has multiple authors, the cash prize will be divided among all the authors based on their arrangement.
- Can I submit a paper that has already been published elsewhere?No, we accept only original, unpublished papers.
- Is there an age limit for participating in the open selection?Yes, only people aged 18 or older are allowed to participate. For detailed participation requirements please refer to the Submission Guidelines.
- Can I participate in the open selection of scientific articles if I’m employed by Sber?Yes, Sber employees can participate, but they will not be eligible for the cash prize. The similar participation terms are offered for other affiliates of the Organizer and the Partner. For more information please get acquainted with the Submission Guidelines (Clause 2.6, 2.7).
- Do I need to translate my paper to have it published in English?No, the translation into English will be done by the Partner. Moreover, authors can enclose their own English translations or give recommendations/comments for the translator.
- Can I use (cite or refer to) my own papers, previous published on the same topic?Self-citation (i.e. references to any other papers by the manuscript authors) should be limited to not more than 30% of the total number of references to any sources.
